District Health Board (DHB) elections are held every three years at the same time as local government elections using the Single Transferable Vote (STV) system. View more information about STV.

Seven members are elected to each board by the public with the Minister of Health appointing up to a further four members.

The last DHB elections were held in October 2007. View a list of all current DHB members.
