Public Health Risk Management Plan Guides for Drinking Water Supplies

To assist drinking-water suppliers to develop public health risk management plans (PHRMPs) for their drinking-water supplies the Ministry of Health has produced a number of tools to help in this process.

These cover the following key areas:

Small Drinking-water Supplies

Date of publication: June 2005

This booklet template should be read in conjunction with the Water Safety Plan video or DVD and has been developed to help you to prepare a PHRMP for your small drinking-water supply.

The document provides a qualitative narrative and a series of worksheets to assist in this exercise. You are also encouraged to refer to PHRMP Guides containing the specific system elements most frequently found in drinking-water supplies.

A Framework on How to Prepare and Develop Public Health Risk Management Plans for Drinking-water Supplies

This document should be read prior to referring to any of the specific PHRMP Guides because it explains the risk management process and how the different guides are intended to be used to build up a PHRMP for a particular water supply.
