Improving Mental Health a draft second national mental health and addiction plan – An Analysis of Submissions provides a summary of the content and range of views that were received in consultation meetings and written submissions in response to the consultation document Improving Mental Health – The Second National Mental Health and Addiction Plan.

Overall the response to the draft plan was positive with a range of differing views on the key priorities for action. A number of general themes emerged that were consistent across the public meetings and written submissions.

The Ministry of Health thanks all those who attended the public meetings, hui and fono and made written submissions on the draft plan. Your input has been invaluable in assisting the Ministry to develop the final plan.

The final plan is expected to be completed by the end of June 2005.
