Te Kōkiri: Implementation Work Programme 2006-2009
Advisory Group


The Ministry of Health and District Health Boards are committed to continuing to work collaboratively with the wider mental health and addiction sector throughout the implementation of Te Kōkiri. Both the Ministry and District Health Boards currently have a number of mechansims for consulting with, and seeking the views of, the wider sector. These will continue.

This Advisory Group is one mechanism for continuing to build on the positive partnerships that exist.


Purpose


The Advisory Group provides an opportunity for the wider mental health and addiction sector to:

Terms of Reference

Members


Individuals were invited to join the Advisory Group on the basis of their individual expertise, rather than as representatives of any particular organisation or section of the mental health sector. There is one exception to this, a representative of the Mental Health Commission.

People who were on the Advisory Group to develop Te Kōkiri were invited to continue and a number of new members included.

Meetings


The Advisory Group will meet two times each year in March and October.

The Terms of Reference and membership of the Advisory Group are initially for one year and will be reviewed by December 2007.
