Summary of publication


Anthropometry is the measurement of body shape and size. In the Ministry of Health’s New Zealand Health Survey, all respondents aged 2 years and over have their height and weight measurements taken, and respondents aged 5 years and over also have their waist girth measured.

This manual details the correct techniques for taking anthropometric measurements from survey respondents.
