Suicide trends

Suicide Trend reports present statistical trends about hospitalisations for intentional self-harm and deaths from suicide by age group, method, ethnicity and region.

An important reason for publishing trends in suicide data over time is to inform prevention efforts and to show whether progress is being made to reduce the rate of suicidal behaviours, both overall and for specific population groups.
