Maternity Services: A Reference DocumentDate of publication: November 2000
A report produced by the former Health Funding Authority "Maternity Services: a reference document" is an internal report intended for Ministry of Health and former HFA staff.
The reference document collates a number of former HFA and Ministry of Health projects around maternity care and summarises the current state of play.
The report was prepared in November 2000 to ensure knowledge was not lost in the transition of staff from the former HFA to the Ministry and district health boards.
Inevitably it contains a number of options for the future that have not yet been finalised or consulted on.
The report has been publicly released as background to assist those in the sector with an interest in maternity services.
