Safer Sex Evaluation Summary

Prepared for the Ministry of Health

Date of publication: May 2005

The Ministry of Health funded an advertising summer campaign (2004/2005) to promote safer sexual health practices.

The key goal for the advertising campaign was for at least 80 percent of the target audience (15 to 19 year old New Zealanders - with emphasis on Māori rangatahi and Pacific youth) to be aware of the campaign with the aim to ultimately reduce New Zealand's high rate of sexually transmitted infections.

This summary report evaluates the effectiveness of the summer campaign.
