The Antibiotic Resistance Advisory Group


The Ministry of Health has an expert advisory group, the Antibiotic Resistance Advisory Group (ARAG). ARAG is convened by the Ministry of Health to provide technical advice regarding antibiotic resistance issues.

ARAG expertise includes the areas of
  • infectious diseases
  • clinical microbiology
  • paediatrics
  • medicines regulation
  • drug availability and prescribing
  • general practice and
  • veterinary science and medicine.
