About the Ministry of Health

Professional Advisory Group

The Professional Advisory Group (PAG) provides advice to the Director-General and the Executive Leadership Team (ELT). PAG membership includes all current chief advisors. The chair of PAG (Dr Pat Tuohy) attends all ELT meetings. PAG members attend bi-monthly PAG/ELT meetings to discusss organisational performance reporting, including progress on targets and other clinical issues.

An important function of PAG is to support improvement in clinical quality in the health sector through reviewing HDC, Coroners' and ACC Reports. PAG directs recommendations to the Director-General and/or relevant Deputy Director-Generals on clinical issues arising from these reports.

PAG meetings are held fortnightly. For further enquiries, please contact Jessica Rogers.
