Cancer Control in New Zealand

The New Zealand Cancer Registry

The New Zealand Cancer Registry (NZCR) is a population-based register of all primary malignant diseases diagnosed in New Zealand, excluding squamous and basal cell skin cancers. The Registry provides data for public health research, policy formulation, monitoring screening programmes, and cancer incidence and survival studies

The Ministry of Health’s Information Directorate has operational responsibility for the Registry.

For data requests, contact the Information Directorate’s Analytical Services team (email: data-enquiries@moh.govt.nz).

For other enquiries about New Zealand Cancer Registry, contact the Registry Team Leader, Susan Hanna (email: Susan_Hanna@moh.govt.nz).
