Information for early childhood education and teachers


A pamphlet has been developed for the education sector about the B4 School Check. It outlines the role that early childhood education services play in the delivery of the Check, with a particular focus on the strengths and difficulties questionnaire (SDQ) that is used by parents and teachers to assess a child’s social and emotional development. Communications to the early childhood education sector

In February 2009, the Ministries of Health and Education sent a joint letter to all early childhood education services enclosing copies of the pamphlet and a list of frequently asked question for the education sector about the B4 School Check.

An earlier joint letter from the Ministries of Health and Education was sent to all early childhood education services in June 2008 informing them about the B4 School Check and the role that they can expect to play in the delivery of the Check.
