National systems and collections

The Ministry of Health’s Sector Services has operational responsibility for national collections of health and disability information.

National collections and systems provide valuable health information to support decision-making in policy development, funding and at the point of care. This information contributes to improving the health outcomes of New Zealanders.

On request, data from national collections can be made available to researchers and the public. Email requests to:data-enquiries@moh.govt.nz.

Information on health payments and agreements is held in additional systems (not listed) and where appropriate this information is incorporated into the systems and collections listed below.
