For the first time in New Zealand, an Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Guideline is providing evidence-based information for health, disability and education professionals as well as social service agencies, for the provision of services for people with ASD, their families and whanau.
A three-month public consultation was undertaken on the draft Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) Guideline from Dec 06 – March 07. We commissioned a detailed analysis of the 108 submissions received.
As you may know this is a joint project between the Ministry of Health and the District Health Boards Workforce Group. It has been developed in consultation with a wide range of sector groups but now it is time to consult with the whole sector on the concept of the proposed Career Framework.
