Organisations/Agencies Involved


The Minister of Health launched the Healthy Eating Healthy Action Implementation Plan in June 2004.

A number of sectors, groups and agencies were involved in the development of the plan and are assisting in the actions identified in the Plan.

These sectors include:

  • DHBs
  • provider groups
  • SPARC and the physical activity sector
  • Agencies for Nutrition Action and non-government organisations
  • food industry
  • fitness industry; and
  • Ministries of Pacific Island Affairs, Education and Transport, Social Development, Local Government New Zealand and the Energy Efficiency Conservation Authority.
