View the types of HIA training in New Zealand.

The HIA Support Unit is not a direct provider of HIA training. However, it has an important role in financially supporting the delivery of HIA training as well as presenting about HIA and the role of the HIA Support Unit.

The HIA Support Unit has financially supported the following HIA training to date:

  • Introductory and advanced HIA Summer School courses
  • Half day and two day Whānau Ora HIA training (see Whānau Ora HIA page)
  • Training through the HIA Learning by Doing Fund
  • HIA Practitioner workshops.
The HIA Support Unit has presented or regularly presents at the following training:

  • Introductory and advanced HIA Summer School courses
  • Half day and two day Whānau Ora HIA training (see Whānau Ora HIA page)
  • HIA training for public health medicine registrars
  • Health protection officer training hosted by the Ministry of Health
  • HIA Practitioner workshops.
