New Zealand Nurses Organisation 
The New Zealand Nurses Organisation is the largest union and professional organisation of nurses, kaimahi hauora, midwives and caregivers in New Zealand. They embrace Te Tiriti O Waitangi (The Treaty of Waitangi) and work to improve the health status of all peoples of Aotearoa/ New Zealand through participation in health and social policy development.



Te Runanga o Aotearoa
Te Runanga o Aotearoa NZNO comprises NZNO’s  Māori membership and is the arm through which its Treaty based partnership is articulated
Te Ao Maramatanga (New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses) Inc.
Te Ao Maramatanga (New Zealand College of Mental Health Nurses) Inc. is the professional body for practising Mental Health Nurses in New Zealand.



College of Nurses Aotearoa (NZ) 
The College of Nurses Aotearoa (NZ) is a professional body of New Zealand nurses from all regions and specialities. They provide a voice for the nursing profession and professional commentary on issues which affect nurses, and also the health of the whole community.

Te Kaunihera O Nga Neehi Māori O Aotearoa (National Council of Māori Nurses) 
The National Council of Māori Nurses is a national nurse's body mandated by iwi to represent Māori on health issues.



New Zealand Occupational Health Nurses Association
The New Zealand Occupational Health Nurses Association is the professional body for occupational health nurses in New Zealand. Their purpose is to promote and assist professional development and to encourage occupational health nurses to meet competency-based goals as required by the Nursing Council of New Zealand.





Nurse Education in the Tertiary Sector 
Nurse Education in the Tertiary Sector is New Zealand's national association of nursing educators in the tertiary sector. They provide leadership and direction on significant national issues relating to nursing and health education.



Nurse Executives of New Zealand
The Nurse Executives of New Zealand (NENZ) is an incorporated society comprising the most senior nurse/s in the District Health Board (DHB) or major health provider organisations and the senior nurse employed in each of the Department of Corrections, Ministry of Defence, Department of Occupational Safety & Health, and Ministry of Health.

NENZ states its purpose as being to provide strategic leadership for nursing in New Zealand, to advise and influence national policy and decision-making, to influence resource allocation, and to lead nursing workforce developments.

Samoan Nurses Association
The Samoan Nurses Association was established in 1990 to represent Samoan nurses in New Zealand promoting the nursing profession and contributing to and participating in the health development of New Zealand.

The aim and mission of the Samoan Nurses Association is increase awareness and participation of Samoan nurses in the activities of the association and to represent Samoan nurses in New Zealand promoting the nursing profession and contributing to and participating in the health development of New Zealand.



New Zealand Defence Force Nursing
Nursing Officers are commissioned officers in the NZ Defence Force and serve in the Royal New Zealand Nursing Corps (RNZNC) of the NZ Army. This is a defence or 'tri-service' corps.

International Council of Nurses
The International Council of Nurses is a federation of national nurses' associations, representing nurses in more than 120 countries. Founded in 1899, ICN is the world's first and widest reaching international organisation for health professionals.

ICN is operated by nurses for nurses, and works to ensure quality nursing care, sound health policies globally, the advancement of nursing knowledge, and the presence worldwide of a respected nursing profession and a competent and satisfied nursing workforce.



American Nurses Association
The American Nurses Association is a full-service professional organisation representing the nation's 2.6 million Registered Nurses through its 54 constituent state associations and 13 organisational affiliate members.

ANA advances the nursing profession by fostering high standards of nursing practice, promoting the economic and general welfare of nurses in the workplace, projecting a positive and realistic view of nursing, and by lobbying the Congress and regulatory agencies on health care issues affecting nurses and the public. 


The Royal College of Nursing
With more than 310 000 members, the Royal College of Nursing (RCN) is the world's largest professional union of nurses. The RCN is run by nurses for nurses, it campaigns on the part of the profession, and is a leading player in the development of nursing practice and standards of care.

It is a provider of higher education and promotes research, quality and practice development through the RCN Institute. It is also a registered charity.



American Nursing Credentialling Center
The American Nurses Association established the ANA Certification Program in 1973 to provide tangible recognition of professional achievement in a defined functional or clinical area of nursing.

The American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) became its own corporation, a subsidiary of ANA in 1991 and since then, ANCC has certified more than 150,000 nurses throughout the U.S. and its territories in more than 30 specialty and advanced practice areas of nursing.

Sigma Theta Tau International - Honor Society of Nursing
Sigma Theta Tau International, Honor Society of Nursing, is dedicated to improving the health of people worldwide through increasing the scientific base of nursing practice.

Its members are nursing scholars committed to the pursuit of excellence in clinical practice, education, research and leadership. The Society believes that broadening the base of nursing knowledge through knowledge development, dissemination and use offers great promise for promoting a healthier populace.

Royal College of Nursing, Australia is the nation's leading professional organisation representing nurses from all areas of practice throughout Australia.




Australian Nursing Federation
The ANF is the national union for nurses and the largest professional nursing organisation in Australia.
