Pacific HealthPacific Policy and Strategy Team Members Beverley Braybrook, Team LeaderBeverley has worked in research and policy roles across various government and non-government organisations including the Ministry of Social Development, Te Puni Kokiri and Women’s Refuge. Since joining the Ministry in February 2007, Beverley has led work on the Human Tissue and Public Health Bills. She has an MA in Psychology and BA in Mathematics. Marisa Maepu, Policy AnalystMarisa is of Samoan heritage and holds Master of Arts (English) and Bachelor of Arts degrees from Auckland University. Marisa has worked at Archives New Zealand, and the Ministry of Social Development (child, family and community policy). Marisa’s key work area is the development of the Pacific Health and Disability Action Plan. Apinelu Poutasi, Policy AnalystBorn in Otahuhu in Auckland, Api is of Samoan heritage, studying at Victoria University. He obtained a B.A. in History and has substantially completed a Bachelor in Tourism Management. Api’s key areas of work are improving the safety of traditional (Samoan) tattooing and the Pacific health joint action plan.
