Programme for the Integration of Mental Health Data

What's new?

PRIMHD Roll-out Status

Congratulations to Whanganui DHB, who recently achieved full PRIMHD compliance. They have already completed their first production files, which will soon be loaded into PRIMHD.

“On the whole, we are making good progress on compliance rates amongst DHBs, and the take-up amongst Stage 1 and 2 NGOs has been very encouraging”, says PRIMHD Project Manager, Bill Alp.

DHBs

Of the 21 DHBs, 18 have reached full compliance. These DHBs are now all electronically reporting their data to PRIMHD.

Bay of Plenty and Hutt Valley DHBs are working towards provisional compliance and testing. Bill says Hawkes Bay has achieved provisional compliance and will soon be upgrading their system to achieve full compliance.

Software vendor iSoft (IBA Health Group) is helping the compliance and testing process by supporting and enhancing their software products for the remaining DHBs. The software enables the DHBs to produce information that is PRIMHD compliant.

Stage 1 NGOs

Three Stage 1 NGOs - Iris, Pathways and Wise - are also electronically reporting their mental health data to PRIMHD via a file transfer process, like the larger DHBs, after reaching full compliance.

A further 17 Stage 1 NGOs are electronically reporting their mental health data to PRIMHD, using PRIMHD Online.

All Stage 1 NGOs previously reported to the Mental Health Information National Collection (MHINC). Their feedback suggests moving to PRIMHD has been a natural progression. As part of the transition from MHINC to PRIMHD these organisations are being supported by Ministry of Health’s Data Management Services Team, which handles all national collections information.

Stage 2 NGOs

Congratulations to the WALSH Trust, Richmond Group and Equip, in becoming the first Stage 2 NGOs to be electronically reporting mental health data to PRIMHD.

The Patients and Community Trust (PACT) is following closely, having reached provisional compliance. Raukura Hauora O Tainui has also begun provisional compliance testing.

A further 19 Stage 2 NGOs have lined up to join PRIMHD over the next few months.
