The New Zealand Injury Prevention Strategy (NZIPS) is now available from the Accident Compensation Corporation on their New Zealand Injury Prevention (NZIPS) website: www.nzips.govt.nz

The New Zealand Injury Prevention Strategy focuses on injury prevention, which involves using preventive measures to reduce the number of new cases of injury, and reduce the severity of those injuries that do occur.


An overarching framework
The New Zealand Injury Prevention Strategy (NZIPS) establishes an overarching framework for the injury prevention activities of government agencies, non-government organisations, communities and individuals.

The framework consists of principles, a vision, goals, objectives and actions.The New Zealand Injury Prevention

The Strategy was finalised following consideration of the helpful input provided through the public consulation process.
