Analysis of Mental Health Post Entry Clinical Training Trainee Data - March 2005

Date of publication: March 2005
Published on website: November 2005

This report reviews the mental health post-entry clinical training (PECT) programmes purchased between the years 2000 to 2004, with the aim of informing future decisions in this area.

The analysis includes all sources of data available to the CTA. This consists of contract and invoicing information such as volumes contracted and actually purchased, demographic and employee information and trainee outcomes.

Data was analysed by individual programme type and for mental health PECT as a whole.

The report highlights areas of interest, data that falls outside the norm and any links to research or quantifiable information.

There were some limitations in trend analysis as data was only available in some years. Prior to 2002, data was often incomplete or missing.
