Date of publication: March 2005

HP 4053

The Three-Year Funding Plan 2004–2007 outlines the Ministry of Health’s plan to fund primary (public health), secondary and tertiary prevention services and activities, including research and workforce development, to minimise harm from problem gambling. The funding plan aims to progress the high-level goals outlined in the Strategic Plan for Preventing and Minimising Gambling Harm 2004–2010.

The Problem Gambling Needs Assessment (contained in the draft consultation document) highlighted priority areas and populations, as well as service gaps. This funding plan targets funding at specific activities from 1 July 2004 through the next three years to address those priorities and service needs.
