The consultation process on the discussion paper entitled An Integrated Approach to Infectious Disease took place between June 2001 and 20 August 2001. The discussion paper defined key priorities and strategies for infectious diseases, based on a broad, multi -sectoral view of infectious disease transmission and control.

This paper provides an analysis of the submissions. Key findings from the consultation will contribute to the
Integrated Approach to Infectious Disease: prioirties for action 2002-2006 (IAID) to be published later this year.
