Summary

In May 2006, this document was discussed at 20 consultation meetings throughout New Zealand, and generated 106 written submissions.

After consideration of the submissions, the draft Strategy was revised as appropriate, and contributed to New Zealand Suicide Prevention Strategy 2006 - 2016.

The next stage of the project involves the development of an Action Plan, which will set out a number of key activities designed to assist Government and non-Government sectors to implement the Strategy.
