Business Case Guidelines for Investment in Child and Adolescent Oral Health Services

Summary

The Government has announced a commitment to improving oral health services for children and adolescents. New funding is to be made available to District Health Boards to rebuild oral health services and facilities. This investment is expected to lead to improved services and ultimately to improvements in oral health, especially for those who have the greatest need.

The Business Case Guidelines for Investment in Child and Oral Health Services have been developed to assist District Health Boards with their service planning and to prepare business cases to submit to the Ministry of Health. The business cases will allow the Ministry to assess the District Health Board plans and to make funding recommendations.

The Business Case Guidelines are supported by Facility Guidelines (published separately) to assist District Health Boards with the details of clinic design
