Summary

This report provides information on changes in the prevalence of selected risk and protective factors, diabetes, use of health services and self-reported health status over the six-year period between the 1996/97 and 2002/03 New Zealand Health Surveys.

The comparison of the allows us to track changes in the health and use of health services of New Zealanders over the six-year time period between surveys. As such it provides an insight into any changes in the two central questions of the NZHM (How healthy are we? and How healthy is the health system?).
