HFA - Overview of the Health Funding Authority’s Prioritisation Decision Making Framework - As at 30 June 2000

Date of publication: March 2001

The purpose of this document is to provide a summary of the work that has been completed by the Health Funding Authority (HFA) and its predecessor, the Transitional Health Authority (THA), on the design and implementation of a principle-based decision making framework in the period January 1998 to May 2000. The work of these two organisations built on considerable effort put in by teams in the Regional Health Authorities (RHAs), and the National Health Committee (NHC) throughout the 1990s. Within the HFA, this work is known as the “Prioritisation Project”.
