Standards Development Advisor

Information Directorate

Vacancy Number 09/HR86

Do you have experience of, or a genuine interest in standards and their development? Would you like to be at the forefront of making semantic interoperability a reality for the health sector? Want to work in an intellectually stimulating role as part of a busy and vibrant team, motivated and committed to achieving interoperability? If so, this could be just the job you’re looking for.

The role will see you immersed in the weird and wonderful world of standards, providing expertise, operational support and advice to health sector colleagues on the policies, processes and practices associated with health information standards, their development and implementation.

You have a proven ability to work effectively in a complex business environment, strong interpersonal, relationship management and communication skills. You like paying attention to detail in the context of a bigger picture, are exceedingly well organised, have bags of energy and drive to keep moving things forward and enjoy actively working to see things through to completion.

In return we’ll offer a social and supportive environment, a competitive remuneration package and a commitment to your professional development.

If you have the skills and experience needed and feel enthused by what you’ve read then we’d love to hear from you!

This is a full time permanent position based in Wellington.

The Ministry of Health has a commitment to Equal Employment opportunities.
