Look forward to influential, high-level involvement in the health system, as you apply your technical expertise in your specialist area of service cost analysis. You will liaise, lead, research and be actively involved in driving key projects as part of the newly established Health Services Planning Unit.

Already a senior-level professional with specialist knowledge, you are tertiary qualified in a financial related area and highly regarded for your work – ideally in the health sector. In a leadership and relationship-building capacity you excel, and you’ve an obvious prowess in communication and organisation, and enjoy actively working issues through from concept to completion.

The role includes liaison with relevant Ministry and central agency experts, and strong linkage with clinical and managerial leaders in DHBs and the wider health sector. Your talents will be drawn on to apply analysis and evaluation skills to solving problems, scenario costing, supporting health service planning activity and anticipating information needs. We are looking for a strong analytical drive, and sound project management disciplines. You will need to be a good communicator with a “can do” attitude, and your relationship building abilities will be vital as you work across the wider health system.

You must be able to demonstrate achievement within senior roles, and service costing expertise. An understanding of the New Zealand health and disability sector and its processes would be desirable.

This is a full time permanent position. Secondment opportunity would be welcome.
