This is your chance to shine, with the opportunity to take a key role in the newly established Health Services Planning Unit. The Unit’s brief is to lead long term service planning across the wider health system to ensure that service plans developed at district, regional and national levels are congruent with effective and efficient modern models of care, are patient-centered, and reflect resource priorities and availability.

By utilising your significant knowledge of the health sector and your planning skills, you will lead the development and management of specific heath service planning programmes and projects that reflect national and regional priorities, and that engage clinical and management expertise, and consumer and community stakeholders. In addition, you will contribute to building planning capability, capacity and tools across the health system.

A confident leader with superb relationship building skills, you will have the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders to identify health issues and development opportunities, consider clinical and financial information, and produce plans that meet the health service needs of New Zealanders.

You will have a relevant health or management tertiary qualification or equivalent experience, a track record of successful service planning, and outstanding communication skills in dealing with a wide range of clinical, managerial and community stakeholders.

This is a full time permanent position located in Wellington. Secondment opportunity is welcome.
