Dosimetry Technician

Your educational background and attention to detail will allow you to join a team of technicians in the field of occupational radiation dose measurement. Our Personal Dosimetry Service team provides quality assured measurements to radiation users New Zealand, the Pacific Islands and Australia. We are looking for you assist in the day-to-day operation of the service by ensuring that results are produced with the required accuracy and delivered within the required time.

You will contribute effectively in delivering team results. This will require you to have a technical background and take full part in all the technical and administrative activities required to deliver an excellent service. This will involve you in the calibration and use of instrumentation, the use of a darkroom (including handling photographic chemicals), and the ability to determine when things are out of the ordinary. The service is supported by purpose-built software which you will use and assist in testing.

This is a full-time fixed-term position to cover for a staff member’s absence while on parental leave for 11 months.
