Financial Analyst

Sector Capability & Innovation Directorate

The Sector Capability and Innovation (SCI) Directorate is seeking to appoint an experienced Financial Analyst to support the business functions within SCI that includes assisting in financial reporting, forecasting, invoice management, contract administration, accruals and financial modeling. You will be required to work closely with SCI and Corporate Services staff to implement and support the business functions of the Directorate.

SCI is responsible for working proactively with the health sector to support implementation, build capability and share innovations across the sector that operationalise many of the Minister’s strategic priority areas of work, which includes primary health care implementation, oral health, tobacco control, cancer, quality, improvement and innovations.

To assist the Directorate to achieve its goals you will need proven accounting experience in the public or private sector, experience in management reporting, ability to reconcile invoices and payments, sound judgment, problem solving skills and the ability to analyse financial information. To be successful in this position requires excellent relationship and communication skills with a high level of computer literacy.

This position is a fixed term for 9 months.
