Advisor/Senior Advisor (Financial Monitoring)

The Finance Team is responsible for the management of the funding policy for District Health Boards and other Health Crown Entities, and for the financial monitoring and assessment of those entities.

As an Advisor, you will have a tertiary qualification in accounting and may be working towards gaining professional qualifications. This role will help you build your career as an accountant while making a contribution to the health of New Zealander’s.

As a Senior Advisor, you will be a seasoned Chartered Accountant (or equivalent). This role will provide the ideal blend of high-level professional challenge and influence, so you can make a positive difference to the health sector.

You will use your well developed skills in financial and business analysis, business case assessment, communication, interpersonal and relationship management skills to provide analysis and advice to the Minister of Health and the sector.

This is a Wellington based fixed term/secondment position to cover parental leave for 12 months.
