Programme Administrator

Sector Capability & Innovation Directorate

Vacancy Number 09/HR158

Do you want to improve New Zealand’s outcomes with bowel cancer? Do you enjoy a busy role and working in the health sector?

The Ministry of Health is developing a bowel cancer screening programme. To reduce the number of people who die each year from bowel cancer and to achieve equitable outcomes, we are looking for an experienced programme administrator to join our team.

You will be great at multi-tasking, driven and focused to meet deadlines, wanting to ensure that your team is well informed and up to date with all matters relating to the programme. Your flair for communication and organisation will shine as you efficiently coordinate a range of projects, report on progress, take minutes, manage and coordinate funding and do anything else that is required to ensure the bowel cancer programme runs smoothly. Improving equity is vital to the success of the programme, which will be reflected in your desire to make a difference.

You’re experienced at administration support so your professionalism and adaptability will match this role’s diversity and pace. What’s more, your interpersonal skills are outstanding, as are your abilities with MS Word, MS PowerPoint and Lotus Notes.

This is a full time fixed term position (until end of June 2011) located in Wellington.

The Ministry of Health has a commitment to Equal Employment opportunities.
