New Zealand Alcohol and Drug Use Survey 2007


Information for survey participants

The 2007 Alcohol and Drug Use Survey (ADUS’07) collects detailed information about alcohol and illicit drug use among New Zealanders aged 16–64 years. The ADUS was originally two separate surveys, with information collected in 2003 on illicit drug use and in 2004 on alcohol use. These two surveys have been combined and it is intended that the ADUS will be repeated every two years.

Data collection for the ADUS’07 survey was undertaken by CBG Health Research Group, and data collection finished in March 2008. Analysis of the data is expected to be available later in 2009.

Publications on the 2003 Drug Use Survey and the 2004 Alcohol Use Survey were released in 2007 by HDI. An electronic copy of the report can be downloaded by going to:
